Columbia River Gorge Vacation
May 21st, 2008Kevin and I are on vacation visiting places along the Columbia river. We began the journey on Wednesday afternoon, driving east on Washington SR-14 - winding our way along the Columbia River. We stopped at the Bonneville Dam and did the self guided tour. It was eerie to be there with very few people around. We then continued to White Salmon, staying at the Inn of the White Salmon. (More on that in a later post.)
On Thursday, we drove further east to Maryhill, visiting the Stonehenge Memorial, Maryhill Museum, and the Maryhill winery. After that we cut across to the Oregon side of the Columbia River and drove west to Hood River where we spent the night at the Columbia Gorge Hotel.
